Engineering Leadership is a new and innovative degree that is comprised of three growing generations. Engineering Leadership students conduct presentations and team building exercises at high schools and events to educate prospective students and their parents about what is availible with our new department and at The University of Texas at El Paso. As a volunteer, I have given presentations both individually and as part of a team to various groups of students that have ranged from small university classrooms of twenty to cafeterias hosting the high school senior class. We've recruited at "open houses" and fairs in which we speak to even a hundred people throughout the day. Recruiting is something I really enjoy; it's a fun learning experience and, in reality, it could also become life changing to some high school students.
