Although I'm an engineer, I have been fascinated by geology and the arts since I was in grade school. I continually look for new specimens and learn about my minerals on the internet. I have also taken up a recent hobby of jewelry making, which allows me to continue collection of new pieces and utilize my talents. It has definitely been a relaxing and rewarding outlet from my work on campus. I have made enough quality pieces to open my own Etsy shop, which is a continuous learning experience. Some of my pieces are pictured below, made with genuine minerals, polymer clay, and acrylic paints.
